Chia Jam

Ingredients

  • 2 cup berries (fresh or frozen, thawed)
  • 2-4 tablespoons maple syrup

Directions

  • Put the fruit in a medium bowl. Using the back of a fork or a potato masher, mash the fruit until broken down.
  • Stir in the maple syrup and chia seeds until well incorporated. Cover and refrigerate for 4 to 6 hours or overnight before serving. Store in a resealable container in the fridge for up to 1 week.

Makes 1 to 1½ cups (250 to 375 mL)

Prep time: 5 minutes, plus 6 hours setting
